Description:
SilibaseCP-1331 Leveling Agent is an organic silicon leveling agent for solvent-free, solvent-based and water-borne coatings and printing ink. It has the ability of moderately reducing surface tension and improving smoothness. Especially recommended for automotive coatings, architectural coatings and printing inks. The product has the characteristics of increasing slippage, wear resistance, anti-sticking, improving leveling, increasing gloss and preventing Benard Vortex. SilibaseCP-1331 Silicone surface additive for solvent-borne, solvent-free, and aqueous coatings and printing inks with a medium reduction of surface tension and a medium increase of slip.
Special Features and Benefits
The additive reduces the surface tension in the systems to a medium level. It increases slip and improves leveling and gloss. SilibaseCP-1331 silicone leveling agent also improves substrate wetting and provides anti-blocking properties.

Recommended Levels
0.025-0.2 % additive (as supplied) based upon total formulation. The above recommended levels can be used for orientation. Optimal levels are determined through a series of laboratory tests.
Recommended Use
SilibaseCP-1331 silicone oil can be used in all aqueous, solvent-borne, and solvent-free systems and is especially recommended for automotive coatings, architectural coatings, wood coatings as well as printing inks and overprint varnishes.
In two-pack polyurethane systems, it can also be added to the isocyanate hardener.
